Our Alicia McCormick Homes provide a vital lifeline for women and children who have experienced homelessness due to domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence, or stalking.
This innovative program offers:
Safe and Stable Housing: Ten transitional housing apartments provide a secure living environment for families.
Long-Term Support: Residents receive up to 24 months of housing and support services to help them rebuild their lives.
Community Leadership: The YWCA Alicia McCormick Homes are the first transitional housing program of their kind in the Kanawha Valley, addressing a critical need in the community.
By offering a combination of housing and comprehensive support, Alicia McCormick Homes empowers women and children to overcome adversity and achieve self-sufficiency.
The program is supported by revenue generated by the YWCA's Past & Present Gently Used Clothing Store, ensuring its long-term sustainability.
